The Minority Rights Group is thrilled to announce the Training Programme for WMNZ women’s Rights and Gender Equality Organizations.
OBJECTIVES
- Develop participants’ knowledge on minority/gender rights, intersectionality, and advocacy.
- Equip participants with practical tools to design, implement, and manage effective advocacy projects.
- Strengthen advocacy strategies for marginalized communities.
- Provide participants with the skills needed to transform their project ideas into fully realized initiatives.
PURPOSE OF THE TRAINING

To build participants’ capacity to develop and implement advocacy and project-based initiatives that address challenges faced by marginalized and minority communities in Egypt.

To enhance skills in minority rights, gender equality, intersectionality, advocacy, and project management.

They are inviting applications from motivated individuals to participate in an online training course focused on intersectional forms of discrimination between minority and gender related issues.
COURSE STRUCTURE
- The training will be delivered online over a period of 6 weeks, featuring the following elements:
- Modules: The course will consist of modules covering topics such as: Minority Rights, Gender Rights and Intersectionality; Advocacy skills; and Project Design and Management Skills.
- Project Development Focus: Each participant will develop their project proposal throughout the course, receiving guidance and feedback from trainers. By the end of the training, participants will have a well-developed advocacy or project plan ready for implementation.
- Interactive Learning: The course will include group discussions, interactive exercises, webinars, and expert talks to provide participants with hands-on learning and opportunities to collaborate with others.
- Webinars: Engage with experienced trainers who will provide insights into effective advocacy and project management techniques.
EXPECTED OUTCOME OF THE TRAINING
Upon completion of the course, participants will:

- Have a solid understanding of key concepts related to minority and gender rights and intersectionality.
- Gain practical skills in advocacy, project design, and management.
- Finalize a comprehensive project plan that can be implemented in their community or organization.
- Develop stronger networks and collaborative relationships with fellow participants and experts.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the training:

- Working in or volunteering with women’s rights and gender equity civil society organizations (CSOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), or advocacy groups in Egypt
- Have a basic understanding of advocacy, project design, or management (previous experience preferred but not required).
- Be able to participate in online discussions and assignments actively
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to applying the skills and knowledge gained during the course to a real-world project.
