In this role, you’ll create compelling content, grow our social media following, and ensure our platforms remain the go-to destinations for women’s culture, trends, and workplace insights.
About the Role
As Social Media Manager, you will:
Content Creation
- Craft engaging, trend-driven content tailored for our audience, focusing on topics that matter to women and culture.
- Use tools like Scheduling platforms: Hootsuite, or Lately, Canva and CapCut to design eye-catching graphics and edit videos for posts, reels, and stories.
- Write compelling captions and posts that drive engagement, spark conversations, and position us as industry leaders.
Community Growth
- Grow and nurture our social media following across platforms, turning followers into a thriving, engaged community.
- Monitor and engage with our audience in real-time to foster relationships and amplify our message.
- Keep an eye on analytics to refine strategies and achieve growth targets.
Trends & Topicality
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, pop culture, and news relevant to our audience.
- Develop content that’s timely, relevant, and resonates with women, including breaking news, workplace insights, and empowering stories.
Platform Strategy
- Make Girls Talk Corporation the leading platform for women’s voices by amplifying diverse perspectives and topics.
- Establish The Hill App as the go-to hub for trends, analysis, and news on women in the workplace.
- Develop and execute a consistent content calendar to keep our channels active and relevant.
Key Skills & Requirements
We’re looking for a savvy social media expert who can hit the ground running and elevate our brands through creative storytelling and strategy.
Essential Skills:
- Content Creation: Proficiency in Scheduling tools (Lately or Hootsuite), Canva, CapCut, and video editing tools.
- Trend Awareness: Strong ability to spot and act on trends that matter to women and workplace culture.
- Writing Skills: A knack for writing punchy, engaging, and on-brand captions.
- Audience Engagement: Experience growing and managing vibrant social media communities.
- Analytics & Strategy: Familiarity with social media analytics tools to track performance and optimize growth.
- Design Eye: Ability to create visually stunning graphics that resonate with our audience.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience managing social media accounts for brands or organizations.
- Proven track record of growing followers and increasing engagement across platforms.
