Position Overview:
As a Finance Manager at Klak, you will be responsible for managing financial records and ensuring accurate accounting practices in line with our organization’s policies. This role involves working closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Pioneer the implementation of the company’s financial infrastructure, including accounting systems, a payroll system, and expense management, etc
- Attend to customers’ settlement disputes and ensure prompt resolution Ensure the settlement of transactions routed through various payment platforms
- Perform User Acceptance Tests (UATs) to certify that newly deployed and existing platform modules fulfil specified requirements
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income, and cash flow statements
- Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and timelines
- Interact at all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient, and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting through annual report
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary tax documents Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested financial information
- File statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE, and other taxes as required
- Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN) is an advantage
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in accounting, finance, settlement and reconciliation roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software e.g. Zoho Books and Quickbooks
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Financial modeling and financial statement analysis skill
- Understanding of payment industry transaction dynamics
- Understanding of reconciliation
- Excellent communication skills
