Career Development and Graduate Support Coordinator

We are looking for a Career Development and Graduate Support Coordinator to join our international team to support the Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) Scholars and Graduates. The position has two roles: (1) to support AAI Scholars in navigating their career journey through their university life and (2) to facilitate positive engagement of AAI Graduates. This role also requires to collaboration with other team members within AAI department and Ashinaga regional offices (US, UK, France, Brazil, Uganda, and Senegal).

Start Date: April 2025

Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo

Required skills

  • English (native or fluent)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least two years of relevant work experience in a relevant field
  • Experience in 1-on-1 career coaching to the university students
  • Understanding of the job market and industry trends in Africa
  • Understanding of entrepreneurship
  • Understanding of how to execute and implement career development and coaching strategies
  • Experience of coaching students
  • Experience in data collection and analysis
  • Experience in developing and managing the relationship with business partners
  • Story telling skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite

Optional (desired skill)

  • French and/or Japanese
  • Skills in making promotional video

Fee

  • Annual contract starting from the range between 4,004,800.00 yen and 4,579,200.00 yen, depending on the experience level, commensurate with experience.
  • One-year contract: Contract may be renewed upon discussion.
