What you’ll do here

The Devex Partnerships team helps organizations connect with our unique audience, boost brand visibility, and build thought leadership through custom campaigns, events, editorial content, surveys, and research projects.

Business Development Tasks

Strategic Lead Generation:

  • Identify and qualify new business leads using tools such as Salesforce, social media listening, market research and competitor monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain strategies for social media listening and competitive analysis to yield actionable insights and leads, to ultimately drive the creation of business opportunities for Devex Partnerships services.
  • Develop tailored outreach strategies through email campaigns and personal networking on platforms like LinkedIn and X.
  • Read and be up-to-date with global development and digital media trends to support nurturing relationships with existing key accounts and drive engagement with new target accounts.

Data-Driven Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze and report on marketing campaign success metrics, including open rates, responses, and opportunities generated.
  • Prepare regular performance and revenue reports, tracking progress against goals and offering insights to refine strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date and well-organized data in Salesforce, helping to tell a clear story of our efforts and impact.

Proposal Development:

  • Collaborate with the VP of Partnerships to draft and refine proposals, ensuring alignment with partners needs and organizational goals.
  • Proactively generate ideas for campaigns and projects that drive engagement and close revenue gaps.
  • Research and prepare tailored proposals, presentations, and reports that align with the needs of major partners while showcasing Devex’s value.

Personal Assistant Duties:

Executive Support and Efficiency:

  • Manage the VP’s calendar, scheduling high-priority meetings and blocking time for focused work on strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure seamless scheduling and preparation for key meetings.
  • Handle administrative and operational tasks with precision, ensuring seamless preparation for client engagements, contracts administration, trips, and events.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as International Relations, Development Studies, Communications & Public Relations, or Business.
  • Experience or interest in business development, sales, or partnerships within the global development or media ecosystem is a plus.
  • Proficiency in tools like Salesforce and marketing platforms is a bonus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Knowledge of global development challenges and opportunities.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools like Marketo or Reply.io.
  • Background in Media, Public Relations, Public Affairs, or Communications.
  • Exposure to international business or experience in cross-cultural settings.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Number of qualified leads generated weekly.
  • Revenue generated from new opportunities within specified timeframes.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of Salesforce data updates.
  • Campaign success rates and ROI from lead generation efforts.
  • Efficiency in supporting executive tasks, such as error-free scheduling and timely follow-ups.
