The women empowerment in Economics and STEM is a scholarship program designed by the European Central Bank (ECB) to fostering diversity and exclusivity in the fields of economics and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). The aim of the scholarship is to empower talented women, particularly those from low-income backgrounds and EU nationals, to pursue advanced degrees and excel in their careers, especially in central banking and banking supervision.
Women of all backgrounds to encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity, regardless of age, disability, ethnicity, race, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the ECB Scholarship for Women, you must meet the following criteria:
- Identify as a woman
- Hold nationality from an EU country
- Enrolled or planning to enroll in a master’s program in economics, statistics, engineering, or computing at a European university or business school
- Facing financial barriers that may hinder your studies
- Demonstrated excellent academic performance in your undergraduate studies
