- Data Compilation and Research: The Policy Analyst will be involved in global data compilations related to women’s representation in local and national governments, as well as the status of temporary special measures (TSMs) like quotas. This includes analyzing and reporting on these data points.
- Website Management: The role includes updating and managing content for the UN Gender Quota Portal and the Women in Local Government knowledge hub, ensuring that these resources are current and accessible.
- Knowledge Products: Contributing to the creation of evidence-based knowledge products, including research on topics such as violence against women in politics. This involves preparing reports and other materials to support UN Women’s advocacy and policy initiatives.
- Technical Support: Assisting in organizing and supporting technical meetings related to women’s political participation and providing technical assistance as needed.
- Collaboration: The role requires close collaboration with the Global Policy Advisor on Political Participation and the Policy Specialist on Local Government, working within the framework of UN Women’s strategic goals for gender equality.
